Report options are additional settings within a report that can be used to fine-tune its data or arrangement. For example, one could report on the 25 best sellers in a department by limiting the number of records to that number. Then only the top 25 records that match the filter criteria are included in the report. Like general filtering, options can be predefined and often can be modified on the fly at runtime.
